| Description | On April 23, 1996, the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity on campus hosted a sleepout event to draw attention to the issue of homelessness in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area. They collected non-perishable food items for a charitable food drive for the homeless and encouraged members of the community to join them in sleeping outside the Union on campus to raise awareness. |
